Elisha Cuthbert, Paz Vega, Andie MacDowell, Kelli Garner and S. Epatha Merkerson also will star. Howard Gould wrote the script and will make his feature directing debut on the film.
Allen will play a flashy salesman who is presumed dead after he goes missing during a skydiving expedition. When his daughter (Cuthbert) returns home to arrange his funeral, she discovers that his current wife and her five predecessors are fighting over who gets to bury him.David McIlvain and Holly Wiersma will produce. The Ring, which co-financed the Wiersma-produced indie "The Rockett," is co-financing the comedy, and Ed Machek and Lou Maggio will be exec producers.
Allen just finished the David Mamet-directed ultimate fighting pic "Redbelt" for Sony Pictures Classics.
Gould worked with Allen years ago on "Home Improvement," and his script credits include "Mr. 3000" and "Shrek the Third."
