As TLC prepares to move out to Los Angeles, new prexy-general manager Angela Shapiro-Mathes has made two high-level programming appointments in L.A.

The cabler has hired Brant Pinvidic to serve as senior VP of programming; he'll be paired with TLC's Deborah Adler Myers, who has been upped to senior VP of programming as well.

Under the new setup, Pinvidic will oversee primetime programming, while Myers will handle daytime and fringe time periods. The duo will oversee development and current programming together.

"Debbie and Brant share my passion and vision for the channel," Shapiro-Mathes said.

Shapiro-Mathes, who joined the net earlier this month, is overseeing TLC's coast-to-coast jump as it becomes Discovery's first ever L.A.-based net.

Pinvidic joins TLC from GRB Entertainment, where he was senior veep of development and headed up the company's reality and scripted development. Myers has been with Discovery since June 2005, helping launch TLC's "Little People, Big World."

Pinvidic and Myers will be part of a TLC team that includes Christian Drobnyk as senior VP focusing on business matters and exec VP of marketing Regina DiMartino.
