Mulroney will play Gil Privick, best friend of Robert Kearns (Kinnear) and owner of a chain of auto-parts stores. Kearns invented the intermittent windshield wiper and sued Detroit automakers over patent infringement.
Pic is currently lensing in Toronto. Marc Abraham is directing from a screenplay by Philip Railsback, Scott Frank and Abraham based on a New Yorker story.
Mulroney most recently appeared in "Gracie," "Zodiac" and "Georgia Rule."
