Montoro started with stage work before being tapped for films such as "Sancho" (shot in the U.S.), "The Gallant One," Warner Brothers' "Manhunt in the Jungle" and Dennis Hopper's "The Last Movie."
He also appeared in "No Stars in the Jungle" and "The Green Wall."
On TV he played a variety of characters in Daniel Camino's productions of "Land Bewitched," "Rebecca," "Rains Came," "Dona Barbara," "The Last Act" and "Blood and Sand."
His final work was creating a comic character, the Hippie Poet, who proved popular in Peru.
