Altschuler and Krinsky, who are coming off the Will Ferrell-Jon Heder figure-skating comedy hit “Blades of Glory,” are the showrunners on Mike Judge’s Fox series “King of the Hill.”
In “Brothers of Invention,” a TV psychologist discovers that his recurring dreams are repressed memories, which leads him to discover a twisted family he never knew about. Newman hatched the project and pitched it to the writers. Tom Lassally and Michael Rotenberg are coming aboard to be exec producers.
Strike is in production with Spyglass on the Greg Kinnear starrer “Flash of Genius,” which Abraham is directing, and are in pre-production on “Creature From the Black Lagoon,” the Gary Ross-scripted remake that Breck Eisner is directing. Strike is producing with Ross.
Altschuler and Krinsky are rewriting “The Jetsons” at Warner Bros. for director Robert Rodriguez and producers Donald De Line and Denise Di Novi. The scribes also rewrote “The Giants of Groil,” based on the children’s book “The Giants and the Joneses.”
