According to preliminary nationals from Nielsen, "Big Brother 8" (2.7 rating/9 share in adults 18-49, 7.4 million viewers overall) won the 8 o'clock hour in adults 18-49 as well as adults 25-54 (3.2/10) but Fox's repeat of "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader" (2.5/8 in 18-49, 7.8 million viewers overall) held tough and challenged in the demos while pulling ahead in total viewers.
