Plimpton finds 'Dream'

'Utopia' star set for Shakespeare in the Park

Martha Plimpton follows up her Tony-nommed turn in “The Coast of Utopia” with the Shakespeare in the Park production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

She’ll play Helena, one of the fairy-plagued lovers in the Shakespeare comedy. Also added to the ensemble is Jesse Tyler Ferguson (“The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee”) as one the plot’s bumbling rude mechanicals.

Plimpton and Ferguson are among the thesps joining a previously announced cast that includes Laila Robins, Keith David and Mireille Enos. Production, helmed by Daniel Sullivan, begins perfs in Central Park Aug. 7.
