Aronsson quits at C More, Kanal 5

Tillieux will replace former chairman

Manfred Aronsson has stepped down as chairman of the board of C More Ent., which operates all Canal Plus cable channels in Scandinavia, and Kanal 5, which is one of the most popular webs among younger viewers in Sweden.

Aronsson will be succeeded by Patrick Tillieux, acting chief exec of SBS, which owns both webs and was recently acquired by Germany's ProSieben.

Aronsson joined Kanal 5 in 1995 as sales director. He was named chairman of the board of C More and Kanal 5 last year.

"Under Manfred's leadership Kanal 5 became one of Sweden's most successful television stations and one of the SBS Group's most profitable stations," Tillieux said in a statement. "Manfred has an impressive record and we wish him well in his future endeavors."
