Event, which takes place this year in Seattle in October, will be taped and aired later in the fall on Spike. Broadcast will look at the players as well as the gaming itself.
Deal will also include coverage on net's vidgame "Game Head" skein as well as events online at iFilm and Xfire, Viacom properties which are part of the same group as Spike.
WCG is the org that oversees a yearlong series of gaming competitions. Spike deal marks first time its Grand Final will be seen on television.
