Director Howard Deutch is set to begin lensing in August. Pic will be shot in Boston.
Management 360 and Terra Firma are producing. Cook's Superfinger Entertainment also is producing.
From a script by Jordan B. Cahan, storyline revolves around a man who is hired by men who have been dumped to take their ex-girlfriends out on nightmare dates, thereby convincing the women to return to their boyfriends. But trouble arises when Cook's character is hired to take out the ex-girlfriend of his best pal.
Producers are Guymon Casady, Doug Johnson, Adam Herz, Greg Lessans, Josh Shader, Barry Katz and Brian Volk-Weiss.
Hudson ("You, Me & Dupree," "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" ) will next be seen in theaters opposite Matthew McConaughey in romantic action-adventure "Fool's Gold." Warners releases the film Feb. 8.
"Bachelor" marks Cook's third Lionsgate pic after "Employee of the Month" and "Good Luck Chuck," which bows in September.
