Eargle, who won Grammy and Academy Sci Tech awards, died in Hollywood in early June. He was 76.
Eargle, who served as senior director of product development and application for JBL Professional, recorded or produced some 275 compact discs while working with JBL and other Harman companies. He wrote several books on audio engineering topics; was past president of the Audio Engineering Society and served on the faculty of the Aspen Audio Recording Institute.
