Duo cast for 'Cat'

Perlman, Hershey set for indie film

Ron Perlman and Barbara Hershey are toplining the indie dramedy "Vacuuming the Cat."

Kenny Golde ("The Job") is directing the project, written by Ted Henning. Golde, Lawrence Gabriel and Steven L'Heureux are producing.

Daniel Gillies ("Spider-Man 2"), Irma P. Hall and Pat Crawford Brown also star. Story follows a young man who, after suffering the death of his wife, goes to the desert to build a porch for his aunt and meets a retired ex-cop who guides him through his grief toward acceptance.

Perlman's next project is "Hellboy 2: The Golden Army."
