Ahuja will work with the development and evaluation of short- and long-term strategic improvement initiatives at the company; he'll also work on finance and strategy for the group, as well as identify new revenue streams and brand extensions.
Ahuja reports to Del Mayberry, exec VP and chief financial officer at Fox Networks Group.
"The media business continues to experience challenge and change," Mayberry said. "Having a superb executive like Ravi on board will allow us to more quickly and effectively analyze, strategize and respond to the opportunities available to us."
Ahuja previously served as chief financial officer at Virgin Ent. Group, a position he'd held since 2004; while there, he oversaw strategy development, implementation, funding and business alliances. He first joined that company in 1999 as vice president of business development.
