USA Today inks deal with ABC

Duo team up for election coverage

ABC News inked a content-sharing deal with USA Today to expand its coverage of the 2008 election.

USA Today will contribute political stories, blog postings and interactive content to ABCNews.com, while ABC will provide video to USAToday.com. Election coverage on both sites will be co-branded, and the two organizations will join forces on select political stories.

Deal extends what USA Today executive editor Kinsey Wilson calls a "very successful partnership we've forged with ABC over the past couple of years."

In addition to political stories, USA Today will contribute stories on health, technology, money, travel and style to ABCNews.com. ABC and USA Today have collaborated on a number of reporting series including the Emmy-winning "Iraq: Where Things Stand."
