ROME -- Abbas Kiarostami will head the jury of the Capalbio Cinema fest dedicated to international shorts, located in Tuscany, where the Iranian auteur will soon be shooting his next feature.

The 14th edition of the Capalbio fest, by the seaside, will also honor Kiarostami with a sidebar featuring a self-selected assortment of his own shorts, including the near silent "Five Dedicated to Ozu."

Meanwhile, shooting is scheduled to start in October on Kiarostami's first English-language feature, set in the town of S. Gimignano, a Renaissance-era gem near Florence.

Titled "Certified Copy" and produced by Gaul's MK2, Kiarostami's next project is said to be about the differences between original masterpiece artworks and their copies. Pic will star Juliette Binoche as a French gallerist traveling in Tuscany with a Brit scribe, whose character remains to be cast.

The six-day Capalbio fest -- a longtime top-tier shorts event -- will run June 26-July 1.
