Madison Davenport has landed a lead role in New Line and Picturehouse's "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl Mystery." Abigail Breslin plays the title role, and Davenport will play her best friend. Patricia Rozema directs; cast includes Joan Cusack and Stanley Tucci. Production is under way in Toronto.

Thesp will be seen in features "Humboldt County," "Parasomnia" and the animated "Christmas is Here Again." She has a lead role in Lifetime telepic "The Sitter."
