Pact marks the first time FME programming will be released through a Hollywood studio's distrib arm in China.
The six-part skein was created by the U.K.'s Impossible Pictures and hosted by natural historian Nigel Marven, who travels back in time to rescue animals.
Series is now running on state broadcaster CCTV.
CAV Warner, meanwhile, has launched the DVD as single episodes and as a boxed set.
"This is the first time that an international television series with national exposure on CCTV has had separate episodes released individually on video, each with a one-week window after broadcast -- and way ahead of the pirates," said Tony Vaughan, managing director for CAV Warner Home Entertainment. "It is a win-win all around for legitimate market development."
"Prehistoric Park" has had DVD deals across Asia, including with SPO in Japan and United Home Entertainment in Thailand.
