Past Spotlight winners include "Sideways" director Alexander Payne and "Malcolm in the Middle's" Todd Holland.
Students' short films were chosen by a panel including Sundance Film Festival director Geoff Gilmore, director Hany Abu Assad, producer Cotty Chubb and documentary filmmaker Kirby Dick.
