"The Bubble," a bohemian cross-cultural Israeli/Palestinian tale from Eytan Fox, was voted audience favorite at the 17th edition of the Inside Out Toronto Lesbian and Gay Film and Video Festival, which wrapped Sunday.

Top doc nod, as chosen by fest auds, went to "Red Without Blue," a coming-of-age tale of all-American twins Mark and Alex (now Claire) Farley, directed by Benita Sills, Todd Sills and Brooke Sebold.

Attendance was brisk at this year's Inside Out, with a 9% increase in audiences. Fest has become the third-largest event of same-sex culture, with a slate of 276 films and videos from 30 countries.

Juried awards went to "The Chinese Botanist's Daughters" from Sijie Dai, which took top nod for best Canadian feature-length narrative or doc, and Krys McGuire for best up-and-coming Toronto film- or video-maker with "How to Build a Man."
