CBS puts 'Trust' in gameshow

Network orders six episodes of series

CBS has given a series order to the Phil Gurin-produced quizzer "Do You Trust Me?"

Eye has greenlit production on six episodes of the series, which has been in development since March (Daily Variety, March 14). Net is keeping a lid on details about the show, saying only that the premise has strangers determining how much they trust each other as they develop a relationship via gameplay.

"Trust" joins another CBS quizzer on deck, the Drew Carey-hosted "Power of 10."

Deal with CBS puts the Gurin Co. in business with all the Big Four nets. Producer recently snagged a greenlight from NBC for "The Great American Singing Bee," sold the format "Wanna Bet?" to ABC and produces Fox's New Year's Eve special.

In addition to "The Weakest Link," Gurin's best-known quizzer is "Lingo," the longest-running original skein on GSN.
