Mayer will be the top exec in charge of development at the company, reporting to prexy-CEO Eric Schotz. She replaces Kevin Kappock, who's now working as a producer on a number of projects at LMNO.
"As the company's current slate of projects continues to grow in the areas of broadcast and cable, we are looking to Jen to continue those efforts and to also play a significant role as we move LMNO into the future," said Schotz, noting Mayer's "experience, contemporary sensibilities and level of creativity."
Mayer joined LMNO from Rocket Science Laboratories, where she was a manager of development and worked on skeins such as Spike's "Bullrun" and Fox's upcoming "When Women Ruled the World."
At Comedy Central, Mayer was a creative exec who was part of the team that developed "The Showbiz Show with David Spade" and "Mind of Mencia."
LMNO's list of network skeins include "Wickedly Perfect," "Fire Me, Please" and "Boot Camp."
