Summit's partnered with Mandalay Pictures on "Get Some," penned by Chris Hauty and Robert Munic and to be directed by Jeff Wadlow. Faris will portray a rebellious teen coerced into an underground fight club amid difficulties in adapting to his new high school.
Faris most recent wrapped the thriller "Brooklyn to Manhattan" and the rugby-themed film "Forever Strong." He's starring in "The Glass Eye" and producing the thriller with his manager Dino May.
Summit announced earlier this month its slate of development projects, with a pair of pics -- "Get Some" and "Step Up 2" -- going into production this summer. Summit principals Robert Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger plan to distribute annually 10-12 pics, including eight that will be inhouse productions.
