Molin was born in Los Angeles, served in the Army and started in showbiz at the Columbia Pictures film library. He became an assistant film editor and then an editor, working on early TV shows such as "The Loretta Young Show," "The Andy Griffith Show" and "I Love Lucy" as well as editing Lucille Ball feature "Forever, Darling" and Orson Welles' TV film "The Fountain of Youth."
His long association with Reiner began as an editor on "The Dick Van Dyke Show" and he went on to collaborate on features including "Oh God!," "The Jerk," "Where's Poppa?," "The Man With Two Brains," "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid," "All of Me" and "Fatal Instinct.
He also worked on TV series such as "I Spy" and "The New Dick Van Dyke Show" and edited features such as "They Call Me MISTER Tibbs," "The Man with One Red Shoe" and "Stella."
He is survived by his wife Nita, a stepson, two grandchildren and a sister.
