BVI has taken Spanish distribution rights to Michael Radford's Civil War romantic drama "La mula," sales agent Capricorn Ent. announced Sunday at Cannes.

Further territories are under discussion, said Capricorn topper Daniel Wuthrich.

"Mula" marks a return to foreign-language filmmaking for Radford, 13 years after "Il Postino."
