August to star in 'Fagelbovagen 23'

Pic is Kadefors' debut

CANNES — Pernilla August will star in the film adaptation of Swedish bestseller "Fagelbovagen 23." The book's author, Sara Kadefors, will make her helming debut with the film.

Story is a psychological thriller about a woman who befriends a young woman, and so puts herself in peril. The book was released last fall to rave reviews.

Kadefors, whose novel "Sandor Slash Ida" was turned into a hit film by her husband Henrik Georgsson, will shoot "Fagelbovagen 23" next year.
