Mandate sets up 'Shelter'

Crevello to produce post-apocalyptic film

Mandate Pictures has won the bidding for "Shelter," tyro scribe Karl Mueller's spec script set in a post-apocalyptic world, and set it up with Drew Crevello to produce.

Story centers on a group of nuclear holocaust survivors caught in a bomb shelter who quickly begin to turn on each other as they wait for rescue.

Crevello's a former Mandate development VP who signed a first-look deal with the company last year. He was a co-producer on "Grudge 2" and is a producer on "27 Times," a supernatural thriller scripted by Thomas Thonson.
