The thriller starts when a man welcomes his first child into the world and realizes he can't touch it. In therapy he unearths a tragic childhood and realizes he may have murdered his mother's boyfriend. Novel is the first for Evans, and the Par deal reps a homecoming of sorts, as he was formerly director of development for Paramount Pictures' literary affairs division. Evans left to attend NYU's Stern School and now shepherds startup companies.
Deal was brokered by Sylvie Rabineau.
