Lensing is set to commence this summer. Senator's Marco Weber will produce, and Ellis, Nicholas Jarecki, Vanessa Coifman and Brian Young will exec produce.
Ellis novel is a collection of connected short stories set in 1983 Los Angeles and featuring movie execs, rock stars, a vampire and other morally challenged characters in tales highlighted by sex, drugs and violence. Ellis and Jarecki penned the adaptation.
Three of Ellis' novels -- "American Psycho," "Less Than Zero" and "The Rules of Attraction" -- have been made into films, but "The Informers" is the first for which he's written the adaptation.
