Azteca America taps Dallas group

Una Vez Mas replaces Houston affiliate

MEXICO CITY -- Azteca America, U.S. subsid of Mexico's No. 2 web TV Azteca, has replaced its Pappas Telecasting-owned Houston affiliate KAZH with a station operated by Dallas-based group Una Vez Mas.

As of July 1, Azteca America will be transmitted on KVIT, run by the network's biggest affiliate group UVM.

Pappas recently announced it was ending its agreement with Azteca America in five markets including Houston, the nation's fourth-biggest Hispanic market. Azteca has said it will announce further affiliate deals before its upfront next week.

Azteca America claims about 3% of national Hispanic viewers in a market dominated by U.S. Hispanic web Univision.
