David Hoberman, Todd Lieberman and John Jacobs will produce the live-action film, the tale of a pampered Beverly Hills Chihuahua who gets lost in Mexico and must rely on friends to find her way back Stateside.
Pic was originally penned by Jeff Bushell, along with current scribes David Kidd and Ron Burch.
Perabo, seen recently in "First Snow," "Wolf" and "The Prestige," also stars in another Hoberman and Lieberman production, romantic thriller "The Heaven Project," written and directed by John Glenn and starring Paul Walker. Also upcoming for the thesp are a starring role in Paramount Vantage apocalyptic thriller "Carriers" and a guest starring slot on the Fox series "House."
