'Family Guy' goes national

Syndication clears 90% of country

"Family Guy," set to bow this fall in off-net broadcast syndication, has now cleared 90% of the country, repping 150 markets.

Distribbed by Twentieth TV, "Family Guy" is now set in 24 of the top 25 markets. New stations added to the roster include CBS-owned KBCW/KPIX, San Francisco/Oakland; Hearst-Argyle's WMOR, Tampa-St. Petersburg; Raycom's WUAB/WOIO, Cleveland; Sinclair's WPGH/WCWB, Pittsburgh; and Scripps' KMCI/KSHB, Kansas City.

Also new to the list are Fox-owned duopolies in Minneapolis-St. Paul (KMSP/WTFC) and Orlando (WOFL/WFTC).

"Family Guy" has already cleared on major Tribune stations, as well as Clear Channel, ACME and Lin TV Group outlets.

"With the upcoming syndication debut, the 'Family Guy' phenomenon has taken another leap forward," said Twentieth TV prexy/COO Bob Cook.
