Langella in talks to reprise Nixon role

Imagine ends negotiations with Beatty

Frank Langella is in negotiations to star as Richard Nixon in "Frost-Nixon," Imagine's adaptation of the Peter Morgan play.

London's Daily Mail Friday reports that talks with Warren Beatty to play the role have ended and Langella is close to signing for the film, which Ron Howard will begin helming in August.

Langella received noms from the Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle for his perf in the play, which bowed April 22 on Broadway after a London run.

As previously reported, Michael Sheen is in talks to re-create his role as David Frost.
