Pic will be co-financed through Cold Spring Pictures, which the producers formed with coin from Merrill Lynch and Societe General.
Mark and Brian Gunn, the cousins who recently scripted "Mighty Mouse" for Nickelodeon Films and Paramount, will write the screenplay.
Wilson, who came up with the idea, will play a lonely geek who, in an effort to make himself seem more desirable, hires a prostitute to pretend she's his girlfriend.
Wilson approached the writers after reading "Juvie," a Universal script they wrote for Wilson's "The Office" co-star Steve Carell about a man sentenced to a prison for juveniles.
Reitman and Pollock started Cold Spring last summer, and the first film in the 10-picture, $200 million arrangement was "Disturbia."
Wilson just finished the Jason Reitman-directed "Juno" and is writing another script for that filmmaker to direct. He was last seen in "The Last Mimzy."
