Singapore trio launch HD series

Two shows focus on BMX

HONG KONG — Singapore's Mega Media, the territory's Media Development Authority and VOOM HD Networks have agreed to co-produce two action-sports series that will be lensed in high definition.

Two-part skein "Metro BMX Jam: Singapore" and seven-parter "BMX Pig: Singapore" will preem at the end of the year on VOOM's Rush HD channel and Sling HD, a new net soon to launch on SingTel.

The three orgs previously signed a co-production agreement in late 2005.

"VOOM HD and Mega Media have identified concepts that translate very well into exciting programs in HD, demonstrating the strength of the partnership and Singapore's capacity to deliver high-quality HD productions," MDA CEO Christopher Chia, said.
