'Undateable' finds a match
Angelo, Brown sell pitch

The duo have sold the comedy pitch -- the real-life tale of romantic loser Brian Wolf, who launched a Web site (www.settleforbrian.com) as a last-ditch attempt at landing a girlfriend -- in a preemptive sale to Disney.
"Undateable" will be produced by Disney-based Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot with Mikkel Bondesen of Fuse Entertainment. Fuse's Alex Goldstone will exec produce and Rich Demato will co-produce.
"Our management company, Fuse, alerted us to the site as we were fishing around for our next subject matter," Angelo told Daily Variety. "It fell squarely into what we call 'bromantic comedies,' which are romantic comedies that guys actually want to see."
Wolf created the site to highlight his mediocrity.
"I know what you're thinking," he wrote on the site. "Settling is admitting defeat. Only losers settle, right? Wrong. Everybody settles. There are no perfect relationships. Do you think you're going to end up happy holding out for Mr. Right? You won't. You'll end up old, alone, and miserable. You don't want that. And I don't want that. So I'd like to propose an alternative."
Brown said Wolf's site articulated an idea that he'd never heard before -- the idea of settling. "He sort of stepped forward as this bizarre hero who was willing to be honest in a way that no one has seen on or offline."
Wolf's dating gambit worked out, Brown noted. "We actually had to ask him to keep the site up, because he met his girlfriend through the site and was going to shut it down," he said.
Angelo and Brown also sold "The Last Bash" to Universal.
