The film also drew nods for actor Michael Angarano and supporting actor Tom Guiry.
Actress honors went to Scout Taylor-Compton for "Tomorrow is Today," while supporting actress went to Dagmara Domincyzk for "Mentor."
Named for the acting style, Method Fest showcases "story-driven" indies with "breakout" performances.
Jim Loftus drew director kudos for "Trade Routes," while the screenplay nod went to David Gow for "Steel Toes," a film that he also co-directed.
Christopher Plummer received the lifetime achievement honors, and Michael Madsen drew the maverick award.
