Emilio Diez Barroso and Darlene Caamano Loquet of Nala Films are producing along with Jon Shestack and Jeremy Stein of Jon Shestack Prods.
Script, penned by Eddie and Chris Borey, centers on man who awakens in a pit full of dead bodies with no memory of who he is or how he got there. Rescued by a group of fellow amnesiacs, he must determine who among them may be the killer.
Rodriguez directed the short film "Daughter" at Florida State U., leading to his assignment to helm "Curandero" for Dimension and Robert Rodriguez, who wrote and produced. He's also attached to Fox's "Dread," with Clive Barker producing.
Shestack recently completed the upcoming "Dan in Real Life" with Steve Carell for Touchstone. Nala recently wrapped Paul Haggis' "In the Valley of Elah" and will be premiering "The Air I Breathe" at the Tribeca Film Festival later this month.
Rodriguez is repped by UTA and managed by Foursight.
