Mike Disa will direct the Weinstein Co. and Kanbar Entertainment's "Hoodwinked 2: Hood vs. Evil," a CG-animated sequel to the 2006 pic. Maurice Kanbar and David K. Lovegren produce.

The original "Hoodwinked" grossed $51 million domestically and $109 million worldwide.

Pic was the fourth CG-animated film for TWC, which also released "Doogal" and "Arthur and the Invisibles" and teamed with Warner Bros. on "TMNT." TWC is prepping the CG pics "Igor," "Escape From Planet Earth" and "Cricket in Times Square."

Disa was most recently technical consultant on IDT's Rob Zombie pic "The Haunted World of El Superbeasto" and also directed the CG version of "Seven Dwarves" for Disneytoons Studio. He is a former designer of such interactive games as Sega's "Spider-Man" and "Jumping Joey the Roo."
