SPHE merging divisions

WOG will handle video services worldwide

HOLLYWOOD -- Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is merging its domestic and international arms into one division dubbed the Worldwide Operations Group.

WOG will handle manufacturing and distribution services for DVD, Blu-ray and UMD worldwide and will oversee product quality control, sales returns and all vender contracts.

Aodan Coburn, former senior veep of international operations for SPHE, has been tapped exec VP of Worldwide Operations Group.

SPHE has also named Geri A. Bluerock as senior VP of the vendor-managed inventory department and has upped Robert Ziegler from VP of production services to senior VP of operations and production services.

Former executive president of European productions Natasha Currie has been upped to VP of European operations, while Walt Engler was tapped senior veep of operations.
