Swank developing 'Intimate'

Actress may produce, star in Paramount film

Hilary Swank is developing a remake of Patrice Leconte's "Intimate Strangers" for Paramount Pictures with an eye to star and produce.

Already producing are Frederic Golchan and Radar Pictures' Ted Field. Golchan's offices are at Radar.

"Intimate Strangers" is the story of a woman who believes she is going to visit her new shrink but really ends up baring her soul to an accoutant.

Kelly Fremon will pen the script.

The old Paramount Classics released Leconte's film in 2004, giving Par the first right of refusal on the remake rights.

Swank, who recently toplined "Freedom Writers," is in theaters Wednesday with horror-thriller "The Reaping" from Warner Bros.

Also, Swank is in post-production on Richard LaGravenese's romantic comedy "P.S., I Love You" for Warner Bros. Pictures. She stars opposite Gerard Butler.

Fremon's also set up "Ticket to Ride" at Montecito Pictures.

Swank is repped by CAA and Untitled Entertainment. Fremon is repped by ICM and Energy Entertainment.
