In its pursuit of docus and fact-based dramas with diverse and provocative POVs, the Nyon-based fest, which runs April 20-26, is also to show "In Memoriam Litvinenko" by Jos de Putter.
Docu deals with the politics of Russian prexy Vladimir Putin and features a conversation with former Russian secret agent Alexander Litvinenko, who was assassinated last November.
Another pic that should spark debate is Miroslaw Dembinski's "A Belarusian Lesson," which looks at a group of youngsters fighting for freedom in Belarus.
The fest's international competish will include the world preems of Alain Cavalier's "Lieux Saints" and Mika Kaurismaki's "Sonic Mirrors." Stefan Schweitert's music docu "Heimatklaenge" is to open the fest.
