Studio was keeping the premise under wraps, but Bailey said it had franchise potential.
Marsilii took the pitch only to Disney production prexy Oren Aviv. The studio bought his last script, "Deja Vu," which Marsilii penned with Terry Rossio. Disney paid $3 million against $5 million for what became a Tony Scott-directed pic toplining Denzel Washington. New pitch went for high six figures.
Marsilii is also working on another spec with Rossio.
Live Planet, which is run by Bailey, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, recently completed the Affleck-directed "Gone, Baby, Gone," which Miramax will release in the fall.
