CBS Radio CEO to exit post
Mason takes over for Hollander

Hollander has been replaced by Dan Mason, who has been named prexy-CEO. Mason had previously served as president of CBS Radio from 1995 to 2002 and more recently had been a radio consultant to CBS and other media companies.
Mason will oversee the operations of CBS' 144 radio stations and report directly to CBS Corp. prexy-CEO Leslie Moonves, who announced the change late Monday.
"Dan brings with him a wealth of diverse experience and a true passion for the radio business," Moonves said. "He is a well-known and respected leader within the industry and our company, and his perspectives on how radio can thrive and grow in our highly competitive media world are very exciting."
Mason headed up CBS Radio in the years during and following industry deregulation, which dramatically changed the makeup of the radio biz, leading to a dramatic consolidation to which the business is still adjusting.
The exec oversaw the mergers of CBS, Group W, Infinity Radio and American Radio Systems groups. Prior to that, Mason joined Westinghouse as president of Group W Radio in 1993.
Hollander's imminent departure has been rumored for weeks. The exec first joined the company in 2003 as prexy-chief operating officer (when it was still known as Infinity Broadcasting); he was named CEO a year later, upon the departure of Mel Karmazin.
CBS Radio has struggled as of late, taking a particularly hard hit after Howard Stern ankled for Sirius Satellite Radio at the end of 2005.
