Starting in April, CBS content, including full episodes of "Jericho," will appear on the mobile carrier's Sprint TV service.
Video ads will be embedded within "Evening News," and consumers will be asked to watch an ad before streaming a full episode of "Jericho."
Sprint deal is the latest in a string of mobile agreements to get CBS content on mobile phones. The Eye has a video deal with Verizon's V-Cast service, which includes streaming shows, and with Cingular, for clips.
Sprint deal is the first that's ad-based.
CBS opted to stream full episodes of "Jericho," which has underperformed in the ratings but is the most streamed skein on the net's online Innertube service.
Net is hoping to expose new viewers to the skein -- important for a serial that requires some understanding of the background to follow the plotlines.
Also included in the deal are video clips from "CSI," CSI: Miami," "CSI: NY," "Numbers," "NCIS" and "Survivor."
Daily clips will be uploaded from CBS' latenight shows, "Entertainment Tonight" and such CBS Paramount library classics as "I Love Lucy."
