The deal is part of Nordisk's strategic focus on local production in the Nordic region, and marks a step onto the international stage for Solar.
As well as selling Solar's pics abroad, Nordisk will handle distribution throughout the Nordic region.
"The new partnership with Nordisk Film is a milestone for Finnish content export," said Markus Selin, head of production and chairman of the board at Solar.
The first joint project between Solar and Nordisk is horror pic "Dark Floors," about Finnish heavy metal band Lordi, winner of last year's Eurovision Song Contest. Pic will start shooting in May and presales begin at Cannes.
