Sony TV joins iTunes

Titles to hit the Web

Sony Pictures TV is joining the iTunes revolution, striking a deal with the online music, television and film purveyor to offer several current and library TV titles.

Deal is significant given the ongoing rivalry between Apple and Sony, which recently announced plans to launch a rival to iTunes in the U.K. selling films, music and TV shows.

Here in the U.S., shows available on iTunes now include the Brad Garrett laffer "'Til Death," which has already been available for streaming via Fox's Web site. Another current Sony laffer, CBS' "Rules of Engagement," is already up on iTunes under a separate deal.

Starting today, classic Sony skeins such as "Charlie's Angels," "NewsRadio," "The Animated Spider-Man" and "Starsky & Hutch" will also be available for download on the service.
