Programming vet has tapped Linsey Hubbard for the newly created post of executive in charge of scripted comedy programming at his eponymous company. She'll work with Silverman to develop laffer projects as Silverman starts diving back into the development waters (Daily Variety, Feb. 27).
Most recently head of creative affairs, Hubbard has helped develop several light entertainment concepts, including the digital multicast channel ConnXions. She's also worked with Silverman in his work as a consultant for multiple companies, including ABC and ABC Family.
"In the five years that she's worked for me, she's proven time and again to be a highly creative, resourceful program executive, with a particularly good sense of comedy and great contacts in the community," Silverman said. "I believe that her talents will be invaluable in establishing our company's scripted comedy presence across all the distribution platforms."
Hubbard will work with Randi Siegel, who was recently tapped exec in charge of alternative for the Fred Silverman Co.
