Duo to deliver broadband video and more

Sports Illustrated and NBC Sports are now playing on the same field.

The companies' online arms --SI.com and NBCSports.com -- are partnering to deliver broadband video, breaking news and analysis.

Project launches this week with broadband segs produced by NBCSports.com and featured on SI.com.

"The speed and depth of SI.com content and the broadband video power of NBCSports.com is a unique combination of resources that enhances the user experience for fans on both sites," said SI digital prexy Jeff Price.

In the coming months, SI.com will direct visitors toward NBCSports.com broadband segments featuring breaking news, shortform programming and post-game interviews as well as sports update segments on weekends.

NBCSports.com will produce broadband Sports Illustrated writer segments and point its viewers toward SI.com for analysis and commentary, as well as SI photography and its popular Truth & Rumors daily feature.
