New Jersey-based Alfred Haber Distribution has picked up most foreign rights to two series from the Intl. Fight League, the first team-based professional league of mixed martial arts.
Alfred Haber and IFL chief exec Gareb Shamus announced the agreement for "IFL Fight Night" and "IFL Battleground."
Stateside, "Fight Night" airs on Fox Sports Network, while "Battleground" will air beginning next week on MyNetworkTV.
Mixed martial arts is an intense sport in which athletes use karate, judo, jiujitsu, boxing, tae kwon do and wrestling.
The IFL has been trying to make the sport more mainstream by moving to an oversized boxing ring, while limiting moves that emphasize brute force over athleticism.
"Over the last few years, the growth rate of the MMA has been nothing less than phenomenal," Haber said.
