SYDNEY -- The Adelaide Film Festival shuttered Sunday with the world premiere of Rolf de Heer's black-and-white silent Chaplinesque comedy "Dr. Plonk," featuring live musical accompaniment.

Fest director Katrina Sedgwick said preliminary B.O. receipts are up 25%, but would not reveal figures, which are still being tallied.

Biennial fest's A$25,000 ($19,000) jury prize went to Jia Zhang-ke's "Still Life," with a special mention for "Syndromes and a Century" by Apichatpong Weerasethakul. Aud poll was won by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck's foreign language Oscar winner, "The Lives of Others," while "Air Guitar Nation" won the docu category.

Mahamat-Saleh Haroun's "Daratt" won the Fipresci international critics' award for first or second feature.
